All kinds of news about a new Mono album coming out, a way-too-long 3 years after Hymn to the Immortal Wind. The album is called For My Parents, it's only 5 songs, and it's out on Temporary Residence on September 4th, which is actually quite a bit sooner than you think. Or than I thought. But I still can't wait. Listen to one of the five tracks below, a sort of somber, somewhat languid track that has the beautiful chords we've all come to expect with a Mono release and hopefully the rest of the album is this wonderful.
TRACK LISTING
1. Legend
2. Nostalgia
3. Dream Odyssey
4. Unseen Harbor
5. A Quiet Place (Together We Go)
The band is also going on a little tour that takes them all over the world including a lengthy stop stateside. You will see me at Kungfu Necktie and possibly at Glassworks, depending on whether I get free that weekend. But check out when they come to your little neck of the woods and enjoy. Oh, and there's a fucking brilliant video for the opening track, taking place in Iceland, below.
