I had a dream about Spencer last night, that I was at a Moonface concert and he came to greet the crowd waiting in line and remembered me and Vague Space (somehow) and asked why we were there so early for the festival and someone, maybe me, shouted "We love you Spencer!" and he smiled. I have issues. Anyway, Spencer Krug and Siinai start their first leg of their U.S. tour this week in Detroit. They've announced a second leg with west coast dates and have a new video for the track "Faraway Lightning" off Heartbreaking Bravery (below). Also, Toronto-based Paper Bag Records have announced that they have signed the band and will be releasing the long-rumored Spencer + Mike Bigelow collaboration as a new Moonface album in 2013. Whether that is just Canadian distribution or Spencer is leaving Jagjaguwar after this album is unclear. But another album in the sound of Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped is pretty damned exciting.
