Premature? Yes. But after a shitty week of work and travel and driving all the way to and from the middle of Pennsylvania today, I was delighted to see the temperature had climbed above 60 degrees and with daylight savings this weekend (move your clocks ahead!), spring and summer are just around the corner. And after a horribly shitty winter of work and weather -- another 10 inches of snow dropped in NJ on Monday morning -- I am looking forward to better weather (and better economics) as soon as humanly possible. So I turned on Under the Western Freeway on the way home (even though it didn't make my list of best road albums) and with my windows down and the Infiniti cruising way over 80 (thank you, Pennsylvania cops, for not stopping me!), I cranked a little Grandaddy and imagined it was June 1st already.
