The smoke tastes like gray lead
It’s killing her head
She finally let him have it
Here practice yelling at yourself instead
She nearly burned the town again
With the look that she gave him
She covers her heart with her hands and says
A little useless praying never hurts anything
It’s like nothing’s got a pulse (x2)
In this whole damn place
Right down to the clocks
Nothing’s got a pulse
Remember darling how quiet it got
Leave her alone, let her go home (x2)
So she don’t have to see you
How pathetic you can be
So she won’t hate herself to death
Know what i mean
She’s covering her heart with her hands and says
A little useless praying never hurts anything
That must be her up there
Perfume and cigarette smoke in her wild hair
She smells a little like a train
Hauling lilacs through the rain
I can’t tell that she’s crying
I’ll pretend again
But she sees them total destruction
As she goes running to them
I’m finally showing her the switch
How i learned to hold it
In my teeth
How she’s got to keep
One razor sharp bloody piece
Of her old broken heart
How she’s got to use that edge to carve
Across her new heart
Something deep enough to hurt
So it always reminds her
Deep enough to last
Darlin’ honey, watch your ass
So on point with this list. I'm in love.

Cool list. I dig the Clash, but Modest Mouse comes in second, so I appreciate that they make it on there a bunch. Such talented lyricists,I will say. I'm sure you've heard of 'em but if not, hey, just some bands/albums to check up on if you'd so choose; I'd like to see your opinion!:
Neko Case- Fox Confessor Brings The Flood (really good lyrics, if you like Modest)
Panda Bear- Person Pitch(weird & ambient, but worth a listen; dude from Animal Collective)
Fleet Foxes- Fleet Foxes
The Beta Band- The Three E.P.'s (classic)
The Black Angels- Passover (Nirvana on crack)
The Books- Lost & Safe (cool philosophically inclined stuff)
Billy Bragg- Brewing Up With Billy Bragg (oldie & goodie)
Keep up the good work!

Silly that some people are trying to argue with you about your favorite songs. If I were to make a top 200, it is very likely that most, if not all, of those songs would be "indie". That doesn't mean that I don't know or like other kinds of music or other bands or what have you. It just means they didn't make the top 200...that's not that many songs when you think about it, especially if you are a hardcore music lover.

If our bodies are not strong, our spirit to do things will certainly be quite dull. And at the same time, we are lack of energy (ies) to study. Diseases will only attack the weak, but not the strong.Exercise helps us (to) strengthen our bodies and avoid disease. It also teaches us cooperation, for most exercise is played by team.

Good list even if the nay-sayers point to it being a bit narrow. Already own a fair few of them and I'll be listening to some of those that I've not heard of - it never hurts to try some new music.
It'd be interesting to see an update.
And as for somebody's comment dissing Stevie W. - pah! as a taste try these lyrics:
"Broken glass is everywhere
It's a bloody scene
Killing plagues the citizens
Unless they own police" - not exactly 'Isn't she lovely' now is it? Check out the tune on Spotify etc. :-)

I also loved that you included the viodes! I had to chuckle because when Smooth Criminal came out, I played it over and over, and my mom couldn't understand the words, but she would get the song stuck in her head even so. One day I came home from school and she was singing, Annie are you walking/are you walking, Annie I cracked up.Inspiring songs: If I'm sad, River by Joni Mitchell can get the juices going. If I'm nostalgic, Only the Good Die Young by Billy Joel. *Jesus, do I sound old or what?* To kick my ass: Criminal by Fiona Apple.

On songs sharing chrods: I just saw a thing on YouTube, done by a British band called The Axis of Awesome, where the took the chrods from Journey's Don't Stop Believing and sang lines from a bunch of different songs that share the same progression. Goes to show you how often that happens!
