Amazing. I just checked the last time I posted an iPod List Mania, and Bright Eyes was the most played of the year by exactly 186 plays over Mogwai. Today, exactly the same. That's kinda cool. I'm sure only I think so, but it's cool nonetheless. A few bands made debuts on this list since 2 months ago. The Microphones all the way up to #4, based on the strength of my downloads from emusic of their 2004 Live in Japan release, as well as their first album, Song Islands. Morrissey is up to #6 based on my purchase of his recent CD, Live at Earl's Court, while Bloc Party's debut album, Silent Alarm, got it into the top 10. The Decemberists were the biggest mover in the list, jumping from 12th to 5th on the strength of Picaresque. Meanwhile, long time favorites Superchunk, Pedro the Lion, Pavement, Grandaddy, Guided by Voices, and Death Cab find themselves remaining among the most played.
